Your pet’s oral health is a good indicator of his or her overall well-being, but can be VERY DIFFICULT TO CATCH! We, as humans, are used to seeing healthy teeth and can spot right away when another person has dental disease. But when it comes to our pets, we often miss the signs! And to make matters worse, our pets can’t tell us when they have painful teeth and gums, loose teeth or discomfort when they eat. Dogs and particularly cats will go to great lengths to hide these symptoms from us.
At Magnolia Springs Veterinary Center, we make sure to check your pet’s teeth and gums at every wellness exam to look for signs of infection or other dental problems. Additionally, you can schedule an appointment for a dental cleaning and any needed dental extractions under general anesthesia. After your pets dental procedure our staff will work with you with you to teach proper toothbrushing techniques for an at-home routine to improve oral health in the future.
